Almirall Dermatology Award
- New concepts in diagnostics and therapy -
The Almirall Dermatology Award – new concepts in diagnostics and therapy – is worth 10,000 Euros and can be split.
The award is given every two years during the congress of the German Dermatological Society (DDG).
Dermatologists from clinics and private practiceswho are active in Germany, Austria or Switzerland may participate. Teams of authors can also apply. The papers can be submitted in German or English.
The patron of the Almirall Dermatology Award is
Professor Dr Dr h.c. mult. Gerd Plewig, Munich.
Objective
Almirall Hermal GmbH offers the award to honour new diagnostic methods, clinical therapy studies or more advanced concepts and post-care examinations in dermatology and thus promotes dermatological research.
- Innovative therapy and diagnosis approaches to dermatological diseases such as acne, allergies, atopic eczema, dermatomycoses, non-melanoma skin cancer, actinic keratoses, hirsutism, contact eczema, parasitoses and psoriasis
- New findings with regard to the pathomechanism and the prevalence of actinic keratoses
- Cost-benefit-ratio of post-care examinations such as melanomas and other cutaneous malignomas
- Consequences of inadequate diagnostics, pre- and post-treatment
- Concepts for ideal patient care in the age of Diagnosis Related Groups DRGs
- Care situation of patients with dermatological illnesses
- Effect of basic therapy for atopic eczema or for psoriasis
Papers submitted should include results of current investigations. The results can be published (less than eight months previously). The paper may not be submitted for another award.
