The central areas of operations at the Reinbek site include the following functional areas:

• Operations (pharmaceutical production plant)
• Finance
• Human Resources (HR)

The pharmaceutical plant in Reinbek is one of the three production sites of Almirall and it is specialised in the production of liquid and semi-solid preparations. The systems are certified according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and has been also inspected by the USA regulatory agency: Food and Drug Administartion (FDA).

The Operations division includes the following departments:

• Production & Technology
• Logistics
• Quality Control

In close coordination with the internal and external interfaces, the Operations team helps to ensure that the entire process chain can work together smoothly, from planning to dispatch.

The Finance and Human Resources division serve central service functions and support the local management and reports to Almirall headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. They also work closely together with the responsible authorities, institutions and business partners.

The financial and infrastructural duties and responsibilities are effectively and efficiently organised in the Finance division by the following departments:

• Finances & Controlling
• Information Systems
• Purchasing
• Supply Planning / Customer Service
