As part of our commitment to society, one of the objectives driving our daily activity is our respect for the environment.

As part of the company, Almirall Hermal GmbH assumes this obligation for the Reinbek site.

With this in mind, the following basic principles have been established:

  • Commitment to continuous improvement of our environmental management, complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements as well as other requirements to which Almirall Hermal GmbH subscribes voluntarily.
  • Commitment to contamination prevention, with the following hierarchy of focuses:
    • Reduction or elimination at origin (e.g. material replacement, process, product or technology changes, etc.).
    • Reuse or recycling (as part of the process or installation or external transfer).
    • Recovery and processing (recovery of waste flows, treatment of emissions and management of waste to reduce environmental impact).
    • Control mechanisms.
  • Efficient and rational management of natural resources, such as raw materials, energies and water resources, encouraging energy and water saving and process efficiency.
  • Establishing periodical environmental management programmes with environmental objectives and targets in line with applicable standards, with environmental policies and with principal identified environmental issues.
