Allergic rhinitis
Symptoms
The most significant symptoms are:
- Sneezing
- Itchy nose and eyes
- Runny nose
- Blocked nose
When our nose is blocked, we frequently breathe through our mouth. Some of the follow-on and further symptoms are:
- Coughing
- Throatache
- Wheezing
- Streaming eyes
- Headaches
- Problems in concentrating
Allergic rhinitis can also be accompanied by other (allergic) diseases, and secondary diseases (sequelae) can occur as it develops, e.g.:
- Conjunctivitis
- Sinusitis
- Asthma
- Atopic eczema (neurodermatitis)
- Food allergy
- Limited productivity
