Dry skin
Tips
- Regular skin cleansing is important to remove dirt and sweat residue from the skin. However, with regards to dry skin, hot, long showers or baths should be avoided, as important components of the hydro-lipid system can be removed from the skin. Temperatures between 32 and 35°C are ideal.
- Particularly with dry skin, it needs to be ensured that only mild, soap-free cleansing products are used that contain lipid-replenishing elements.
- It is important to find care products that are individually perceived as pleasant and are therefore used regularly.
- If the hands are particularly affected and work has to be done with irritating substances, e.g. detergents and cleaning agents, lubricants, mortar, it is recommended that you wear gloves.
- Intensive sunbathing should be avoided with dry skin as UV radiation also dries out the skin.
- As a basic principle, products that are to be applied externally and which considerably dry out the skin, such as tinctures containing alcohol or rubbing alcohol should be avoided. Furthermore, washing powder residue on clothes and bedclothes can irritate the skin; washing should therefore always be rinsed thoroughly.
- Please ensure a sufficient supply of liquid (drink a lot of water).
