Why does the use of anti-dandruff products result in increased dandruff formation?

When used properly, anti-dandruff products result in a normalisation of the disorders that lead to the dandruff formation. At the beginning of the treatment, they frequently result in the dandruff that is already attached to the scalp being detached in increased quantities.

Can frequent hair washing cause dandruff?

Can lice be mistaken for dandruff?

Lice lay their eggs in an egg integument, the so-called nit, on the hair. At first sight, they may be mistaken for dandruff because of the white colouring of the nits. In contrast to dandruff, they can only be detached from the hair with great difficulty.
