Itching
General
Skin itching (medical: pruritus) is one of the most stubborn and frequent symptoms with skin diseases such as neurodermatitis, eczemas or allergies. But apparently healthy skin can also itch, e.g. with internal illnesses such as diabetes, functional disorders of the liver and kidneys, as well as neurological and psychological illnesses. Food and its ingredients and additives as well as drugs can also cause itching. Itching frequently occurs without any marked changes in the skin, in particular in old age.
