How long is chicken pox infectious?
The varicella viruses can already be transmitted just a few days (1 to 2) days prior to the onset of the disease and while the blisters are forming.
Are complications to be expected with chicken pox?
Not usually. In extremely rare cases, slight meningitis, atypical pneumonia or inflammation of the middle ear have been observed.
What needs to be noted during pregnancy?
As a basic principle, with the possibility of a disease or the disease itself, in particular during the first three months of the pregnancy, it is advisable to talk to your gynaecologist about the effects and possible precautionary measures.
