Global Clinical Development

Clinical research is an essential part of the innovation chain from basic research to the therapeutic application on the patient and is thus the prerequisite for medical progress. Clinical research is particularly important for Almirall Hermal GmbH in the area of dermatology in Germany. These studies relate to phases I to III in which the effectiveness and safety of a drug is tested.

The Global Clinical Development (GCD) department is responsible for the planning and implementation of all clinical studies in the area of dermatology and consists of the sub-departments Clinical Development and Drug Safety. Drug Safety guarantees a continuous risk monitoring of our development products and helps to ensure that our activities are of a top-class scientific standard at all times.
